Meghan Markle and Prince Harry found time to support a cause close to their hearts during their trip to Jordan.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent the second day of their visit at the Jordan Country Office of World Central Kitchen in Amman.

Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, paid a supportive visit to the regional headquarters of the nonprofit. Food relief and humanitarian aid for Gaza is coordinated from the same headquarters.

For Harry and Meghan, the World Central Kitchen holds special value since it was the first philanthropic partner of their charitable organization, Archewell Philanthropies when it was founded in 2020.

The couple were seen on the ground to support the organizatoin in the aftermath of the wildfires in Los Angeles in January 2025. They picthed meals, donated supplies and met with the affected families in Paasadena.

The disaster happened close to the couple’s own residence, which is 90 miles away in Montecito.

World Central Kitchen founder chef José Andrés, praised the couple for their contribution..

He said he was "just glad that they show up like so many others."

"I consider them friends," the restaurateur told People about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex "I know they are in the spotlight — not just in America, but in Britain — and what I can tell you from what I know is that they don't have to, but they decide to do it."
