FAISALABAD: On the order of a court, Millat Town police on Tuesday booked eight people on the charge of snatching cash from a hotel owner besides keeping him in an illegal custody by posing as the CIA police staff.
Zahid Mehmood, a hotel owner, in his application stated that accused Waqar Ahmad and his seven accomplices came at his hotel and introduced themselves as the CIA police staff. The complainant said that the accused persons allegedly took out Rs 2,500 from the hotel’s draw and Rs 3,700 from his pocket. He alleged that the accused also took him to some unknown place and kept him there. Zahid said that the accused later released him after receiving Rs 18,000 from him.
