PTDC employees urged to make efforts for tourism promotion

All PTDC officers and staff should continue their best efforts to promote tourism in the country.

This was stated by Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Managing Director Chaudhry Kabir Ahmad Khan, while addressing the oath-taking ceremony of newly-elected office-bearers of PTDC Progressive Officers Association. 

The PTDC managing director congratulated the elected members on their win and stressed upon the need for collective efforts to promote tourism and devise strategies to address problems being faced by the tourism sector within the existing socio-political environment. 

Addressing the PTDC officers and employees union, he sought their commitment and support in improving the PTDC, while meetings objectives. He added that as per vision of prime minister, PTDC is struggling hard to promote tourism within the country and abroad to create a tourist friendly image of Pakistan all over the world. In this context, PTDC we are organising Gandhara Week, Tourism Convention and many other events in near future. In addition, restoration of National Heritage Sites is also under consideration.

Elected officers assured that they fully support and endorse the policies and efforts of PTDC managing director to promote and develop tourism industry in the country as well as betterment of PTDC. Shahid Nawaz Khan (chairman), Masood-ul-Haq Satti (senior vice chairman), Abdul Sadiq (junior vice chairman),  Shaukat Hayat (general secretary), Rizwan Ahmed Sawal (joint secretary), Waheed Gul (finance secretary) and Mukhtar Ali Rana (publicity secretary) took oath from PTDC managing director. A large number of officers and staff members were present on the occasion.
