WASHINGTON: The United States has approved the sale of $800 million worth of Hellfire missiles and Captive Air Training Missiles toIraq, The Defence Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced in a statement on Thursday.
“The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Iraq of Hellfire missiles and Captive Air Training Missiles, related equipment and support. The estimated cost is $800 million.
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on January 6, 2016,” the statement said.
