PTI for probe into E-11 flood deaths
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Aamir Mughal has expressed regret over the loss of life and property in Sector E/11 of NA-54 constituency due to recent rains and demanded an inquiry by Federal Minister Asad Umar.
He said in a statement that during PML-N and PPP governments, ICT and CDA officials, in collusion with local mafias, sold fake plots by China-cutting in societies all over Islamabad, including Sector E/11, CDA sectors and government canals.
“With the connivance, the mafia put billions of rupees into their pockets, due to which not only precious lives were lost but also properties worth billions of rupees were destroyed. Even today, with the connivance of some corrupt elements, China-cutting of government canals and CDA-acquired lands is going on in some areas of Islamabad, due to which there is a danger of great loss,” he noted.
He urged Asad Umar to immediately hold an inquiry against the bureaucracy and fake societies involved in the sale and purchase of government drains and CDA-acquired lands and bring those responsible to justice.
