Teacher booked for assaulting boy
LAHORE:An 11-year-old boy was physically abused by a seminary teacher in the Nishtar Colony area. Police have registered a case against accused Qari Irfan on the complaint of the victim's father.
The accused stopped the boy in the madressa on the pretext of cleaning the madressa and committed the offence. Later, he paid the victim Rs150 to remain silent. Missing special child recovered: A special boy who had come to Mayo Hospital from Gilgit for treatment and gone missing has been recovered by police.

Two arrested for display of illegal arms: Ghaziabad police arrested two accused for displaying illegal weapons on social media. The accused have been identified as Imran and Noman. Both made a video with illegal arms and uploaded it on the social medial. Police also recovered the illegal weapons from them.
accidents: The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) responded to 924 road traffic accidents in all districts of Punjab during last 24 hours. In these accidents, 12 people died, whereas 1,010 were injured.
Out of this, 634 people were seriously injured who were shifted to different hospitals. Whereas, 376 minor injured victims were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
83 drug peddlers arrested: Lahore police arrested 83 drug peddlers during this week. Police also recovered more than 10kg heroin, 29kg charas, 10gram ice and 844-litre liquor from the arrested criminals. Around 16 cases were registered by City Division, 26 by Cantt Division, six by Civil Lines, 10 by Sadar Division, 15 by Iqbal Town Division and 10 cases were registered by Model Town Division.
Tight security: Security remained on high alert around mosques in the City on Friday. Vehicles were checked at the entry and exit points. Cops exams begin: Lahore police issued a schedule for taking the A-list examinations of constables from today (Saturday). Around 5,000 Lahore police personnel have been assigned security duty for A-list examination at 9am.
