MANSEHRA: The police have finalised strategy for the Muharram as security of foreigners settled in the district would be enhanced and clerics and religious scholars would also be taken into confidence over the security arrangements. “The security of the foreign nationals working in the district is being beefed up and police personnel would be deployed at the Imambargah and other such sensitive places in uniform and plain clothes,” Asif Bahadur, the district police officer, toldreporters here on Thursday. He said that a meeting held with Deputy Inspector General of Police, Hazara range, Mirvais Niaz, in the chair and attended by the district policeofficers also finalised the Muharram security. “We will hold separate meetings with ulema and religious scholars seeking their support in maintaining the peace and tranquility during the Muharram,” Bahadur said. The police officer said that security of the mega development projects being executed in the district under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor would also be enhanced during the Muharram.
