Mother, toddler die of burn injuries; husband arrested

SUKKUR: Following the death of a mother four days ago due to serious burn injuries, her 18-month old son also could not survive the injuries and died at a hospital in Hyderabad. This was the tragic fallout of a family dispute involving the husband, wife and the infant. According to police, an enraged husband, Aamir Hyder Memon, allegedly burnt his wife Ambreen Memon a few days ago in Tando Jam. Ambreen died the same day, while the couple’s son Safeer Memon was shifted to Hyderabad for treatment. However, he couldn’t survive the injuries and died too. Tando Jam Police have arrested the accused and obtained his three-day remand from the court. The accused was working as a senior clerk in Municipal Committee Tando Jam.
