IG orders patrolling at check posts

LAHORE:Punjab IG Inam Ghani Thursday chaired a meeting on monsoon season and professional responsibilities of river check posts. He directed patrolling and exercises on daily basis at river check posts during monsoon, replacement of defective batteries of boats within two days and obtaining certificates of operation of CCTV cameras of river check posts from DPOs by August 14. He directed that the staff of river check posts, district police and PHP should maintain close coordination for eradication of criminal elements and there should be no personnel posted at riverine check posts who have not done riverine course or who does not know how to swim.
