Shopkeeper held for torturing worker

LAHORE:Samanabad police arrested a shopkeeper for torturing his employee on demanding his wages.

The accused Malik Salman’s video of brutality went viral on social media, on which the police arrested him. The accused had tortured the 14-year old boy Tahir with iron bars for demanding wages. The accused was handed over to the Investigation Wing. The victim Tahir was handed over to Child Protection Bureau.

THREE HELD: Data Darbar investigation police arrested three people involved in kidnapping, theft and pickpocketing. The accused Muhammad Jamil was wanted for two years in kidnapping and theft case. He lured a 20-year-old Asiya Bibi and stole cash, gold jewellery and other valuables from her house. Accused Shabbir and Qasim were involved in pickpocketing.

search operations: Lahore police conducted search operations in Manawan, Gujjarpura and Shera Kot areas on Wednesday. Identification and tenancy data were checked through biometric machines. A total of 17 criminals were arrested and 10 cases of arms and seven cases of drugs were registered.

BOOKED: Babanpura police registered a case against four Wapda employees for manhandling XEN Rab Yar. The accused nominated in the FIR included Assistant Lineman Zahoor Khan, Meter Reader Waqar Haidar and Wajid Nawaz.
