A citizen whose house was burgled recently has been compelled to face a delay in the registration of a first information report due to a jurisdiction dispute between two police stations in Karachi.
A resident of Ajab Khan Colony in the Banaras area has said thieves looted four tolas of gold and Rs300,000 in cash from a cupboard in his house recently. He said he immediately informed the police helpline 15 about the incident, and then approached the Paposh Nagar and Pirabad police stations, but the police at both the stations refused to lodge an FIR, saying that his house was not located within the remits of their police stations. He appealed to the police high officials to take notice of the matter and order the registration of a robbery case.
