Technical Board exams start from 29th

LAHORE:The first annual examination of Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE), Diploma in Commerce (DCom), Diploma in Hotel Operations, Matric Tech and Matric Vocational administered by Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE) will start from July 29. A PBTE spokesperson said that around 102,342 candidates would appear in these exams and for this purpose 300 examination centres had been set up across the province and Federal Area, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

PBTE Chairman Dr Muhammad Naazir Khan Niazi said that Section 144 had been enforced outside the centres while for strict supervision of the examination, Chairman Inspection Squad would assign duties to mobile and residential inspectors who will make surprise visits to the centres and report to the office on daily basis.

UVAS virtual summer fiesta begins: A week-long “First Virtual Summer Fiesta 2021” organsied by Senior Tutor Office of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) started here Monday.

Various competitions, including Qiraat & Naat, scientific model/poster, cooking/food art, quiz, environment documentary, blood donor society, debate, calligraphy/sketching, Urdu ghazal, funny & English poems, music, photography/short film and stand-up comedy etc will be presented virtually by students in the week-long event. UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad said that such extra-curricular activities were as important for students as the curricular activities for their character-building and imparting social training.
