KARACHI: PayPro, a growing fintech, has joined 1LINK as an affiliate member further digitise payments in Pakistan and to bring next generation payment solutions to SMEs and corporations, a statement said on Monday.
The agreement was signed at the 1LINK head office in Karachi by PayPro CEO Ali Janjua and 1LINK CEO Najeeb Agrawalla. Under the programme, PayPro would be able to benefit from 1LINK’s extensive payments infrastructure, including 1IBFT and Bill Payment System (BPS).
Through the support of 1IBFT, transaction costs and time constraints associated with funds transfers would be eliminated. Additionally, through BPS, PayPro would leverage 1BILL’s payment service to become a bill initiator for its customers on the collections and payments side.
Janjua said, “This collaboration with 1LINK deepens our technical integration with financial institutions and establishes PayPro’s commitment to digitising Pakistan and PayPros aspirations to become Pakistan’s most innovative digital financial service company.”
Agrawalla said, “It is very encouraging to see non-banking entities playing an active role in financial inclusion and offering value-added services to the customers.”
