PSIM to hold conference on 30th
ISLAMABAD: The second annual international conference of the Pakistan Society of Internal Medicines (PSIM) will be starting here on July 30 (Friday) and will continue for three days.
Renowned Professor of Medicines Dr Ikram Javaid, who heads the society, announced that the theme of the landmark conference would be based on emphasis on adoption of evidence-based medicines.
The purpose of the theme is to impress upon the need to avoid medicines which lack credible impact over the diseases. It is likely that a large number of doctors and practitioners from across the world would virtually and physically participate in the conference that would culminate on August 1.
The president of PSIM and its organising team will offer a comprehensive briefing on the conference on Thursday since the society wishes to create an awareness among the medical practitioners and masses about the essentiality of evidence-based medicine in the country and reminding the medical fraternity of Pakistan about its importance.
