Nine held for rowdyism in Lakki Marwat
LAKKI MARWAT: Nine persons were arrested for firing into the air and creating panic among the people in a far-off picnic spot during Eidul Azha, officials said.
“A first information report (FIR) has been registered in Tajori Police Station in the incident of firing on Eid day in Bahram Khel Nala area. And so far 49 persons have been identified and identification of more accused is underway. Nine accused have been arrested with arms and raids are on to arrest the rest,” said the official. The two accused involved in the incident, Siddique and Saleem, were arrested by police led by SHO Ghazni Khel Police Station Sadullah Khan after an exchange of fire.
The accused Siddique opened fire on the police, the official said, adding, the cops also returned fire, forcing the accused to surrender. Police seize 01 Kalashnikov, 01 pistol, 12 pistols, 12 bore guns and dozens of different bore cartridges. The police registered a separate case against the two accused who were shifted to the Ghazni Khel police station and started investigation. Meanwhile, DPO Lakki Marwat Imran Khan along with other police officers visited spot and deployed a heavy contingent of police there.
