Eid Mubarik to our readers

Eid ul Azha is a festival marking the culmination of the annual pilgrimage to Makkah and commemorating the sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim and it is observed by Muslims around the world. It is an important part of our faith and there is a spirit of sharing, especially with those who deserve it. Many people prepare for it in the true spirit by keeping the animal at home and caring for it, while others opt for the easy way out and buy an animal - but sharing is the main purpose.

While sacrificial animals have been bought and all preparations made, this year there is another sacrifice that is asked of us - to refrain from celebrating as we usually do by meeting friends and family without taking precautions The pandemic that has plagued our lives for two years is now getting worse and lives are in danger, so we must observe the restrictions that have been ordered by the health authorities. What will be the satisfaction in doing one good deed and then ignoring the health of those with whom we share our sacrifice?

Be thoughtful; kind and considerate and enjoy the festival as well as take satisfaction that you have been caring.
