MANSEHRA: The district administration on Monday sealed two schools after students and teachers tested positive for the Covid-19.
“We have still been carrying out the Covid-19 tests of students, teachers and other staff and have sealed two schools after the students and teachers tested positive,” said an order issued by Deputy Commissioner Dr Qasim Ali Khan.The Government Girls Higher Secondary School and Global Wisdom School Pakhwal were sealed for 14 and 10 days, respectively, after the officials of the district administration completed the legal formalities.
The police were also directed to ensure the implementation of the order in letter and spirit. The Tehsil Municipal Administration also started disinfecting both the buildings and their surroundings.
According to a data released by the district administration, as many as 14 fresh cases were reported in the district, soaring to a total case of 3914 across the district since the start of the pandemic in early 2020.
The district administration has also been strictly enforcing the standard operating procedures at cattle markets set up for the sacrificial animals at several places.The buyers and sellers were also not allowed in markets without facemasks and all such cattle sale points established at roadside were closed by the administration.
