Three wounded by muggers for offering resistance
Three people were wounded in separate incidents of firing in parts of the city on Monday. Two of them were wounded after robbers on a motorcycle opened fire on them when they offered resistance during a mugging bid near the Northern Bypass within the limits of the Manghopir police station.
The victims were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment. The injured persons were identified as 55-year-old Arshad Ali and Habibullah, 40. A case has been registered.
Separately, 22-year-old Imran was wounded after he offered resistance during a mugging bid on the Super Highway within the limits of the Sohrab Goth police station. He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment. Police said the victim was on his way to buy a sacrificial animal when the incident took place.
