Congratulating the people of Mirpurkhas Division on the approval of Ibn-e- Sina University by the Sindh cabinet, Minister for Food and Minority Affairs Hari Ram Kishori Lal said on Monday that it was progress towards the fulfillment of a promise made to the people of the region.
He said it was his dream to facilitate the people in obtaining higher education which would soon be realised. “Only educated youths are the best architects of the nation.” Lal said that in the next phase, approval for the varsity would be sought from the Sindh Assembly. He said the people of Mirpurkhas would never forget the efforts of the late Imdad Ali Ismaili for the establishment of the university, who prepared the documents for its establishment in the early stages, while the funds were provided by Kiran Hari Ram in his personal capacity.
The minister assured the people of Mirpurkhas that the time was not far when the youth would pursue higher studies from ibn-e- Sina University. The Pakistan Peoples Party’s provincial government was busy day and night in serving the people, he claimed, adding that an important milestone had been reached today with special interest shown by the government.
Lal also appreciated the role and hard work of the late deputy commissioner, Zahid Hussain Memon, for the establishment of the university. He said that the university would benefit the talented students of the entire division and they would play a positive role in the development and prosperity of the country in a better way. The provincial minister also expressed the hope that a branch of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases would also be established in Mirpurkhas Division soon.
