Woman drug dealer arrested

LAHORE : Ghaziabad police arrested a woman on charge of pushing drugs and recovered 1.58-kg hashish from her possession. The accused identified as Allah Rakhi used to sell drugs to the young generation in and around the canal.

Murder accused: Chowki Allama Iqbal Airport police arrested a man who was wanted by Gujranwala police for 16 years in the murder case.

The accused identified as Zaigham was arrested as he came to Pakistan from abroad.

Electrocuted: A 33-year old man was electrocuted in Ada Plot Cattle Market on Sunday.

The victime was identified as Noman, a resident of Araiyan village. He came to the cattle market to buy the sacrificial animal when he came in contact with a live wire and died on the spot. Body was shifted to the morgue by Edhi ambulance.

26 robbers: Sheikhupura District police arrested 26 members of six gangs of robbers in June and traced 35 cases registered against them.

Police also arrested 56 A category criminals and 132 B category criminals, 252 illicit arms carriers, and 106 drug dealers. Under the National Action Plan, 11 cases were registered against the violators of the Punjab Tenancy Act, while six cases were registered against the violators of the Punjab Sound System Act.

Meanwhile, Cantt Division police arrested 385 criminals during the last 15 days.

Around 18 POs, 13 court offenders, 14 members of six gangs of criminals, 69 illegal arms carriers, 117 drug pushers and 154 persons were arrested for flying kites.

accidents: The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) responded to 892 road traffic accidents in all districts of Punjab during last 24 hours.

In these accidents, six people died, whereas 973 were injured. Out of this, 590 people were seriously injured who were shifted to different hospitals. Whereas, 383 minor injured victims were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
