Increase in vaccination ratio observed

LAHORE: On special instructions for intensive vaccination drives, a huge rise is observed in vaccination ratio.

Celebrating dedicated week of awareness for vaccination and SOPs compliance, its positive trend, Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Sarah Aslam said only vaccination is the real remedy against Covid and its new Delta Variant.

She said in recent 24 hours 352,832 people have been vaccinated in Punjab, which is the highest number of vaccinations in a single day so far, while 307,128 citizens were vaccinated on Friday.

During the last 24 hours 59,832 citizens were vaccinated in Lahore.

A total of 11,948,015 citizens have been vaccinated across Punjab. However, reviewing Covid-19 current stats, Sarah Aslam highlights elevation in corona cases due to Delta Variant, 415 cases are reported in 24 hours getting the tally to 349,890. 329,478 patients are fully recovered and active cases are 9,547 till date. Total deaths in Lahore are 2, and overall deaths in Punjab are 9, bringing the total of 10,865 till date.

Total tests conducted are 5,930,174 while 17,684 tests has processed in recent 24 hours, 246 cases in Lahore, 69 cases in Rawalpindi, 16 cases in Faisalabad, 13 cases in Multan, 9 cases in Sialkot, 6 cases in Bahawalpur, 5 cases in Rahim Yar Khan, 5 cases in Sargodha. Respectively 4 cases are reported in Gujranwala, Gujrat and Muzaffargarh.
