Drug pusher arrested

KARAK: The police here on Saturday arrested a drug peddler in an encounter.
Police officials said that a police party led by in-charge of Narcotics Eradication Team (NET) Abid Afridi raided the hideout of a drug peddler identified as Aminullah alias Akbari in Alamsheri area in the district. The accused, the police said, opened fire on cops, who also retaliated. The accused was injured in the firing and was arrested.
The police recovered one Kalashnikov, one pistol, 25 cartridges, 4800 gram hashish, 119 gram heroin and 148 gram ice from his possession. The police registered the first information report and started an investigation.
