Protest against gas loadshedding

PAKPATTAN: Traders, municipal committees’ councillors and the people from all segments of society on Sunday staged a demonstration against the unscheduled gas loadshedding in the city and its adjoining areas.
The protesters gathered at Nagina Chowk and chanted slogans against the government and the SNGPL authorities. The protesters said that they were facing problems due to long hours unscheduled gas loadshedding and low gas pressure. They lamented that they could not cook food in their homes due to gas loadshedding. They said that they were forced to buy food from bazaars, which was an additional financial burden on them. They said that the rate of gas cylinders had been increased in markets taking advantage of the situation. The protesters demanded the government take notice of thee issue.
BODY FOUND: An unidentified dead body of a youth was found from a canal near Chak Shafi on Sunday.
Some passers-by spotted the body in the canal and informed the Rang Shah police. Later, the police sent thee body to a hospital for autopsy.
MAN DIES: A man died in an accident here on Sunday.
Khursheed of Donga Bonga was travelling by a bus when he suddenly slipped while standing near the gate of the bus and fell on a road. As a result, he died instantly.
WOMAN ABDUCTED: A married woman was abducted from Chak Faridpur Dogran on Sunday.
Five accused including Akram entered the house of Muhammad Aslam and allegedly abducted his married daughter. Police have registered a case.
2 INJURED: Two people were injured in separate incidents here on Sunday.
Five accused including Saeed Ahmad entered the house of Muhammad Mazhar at Chak Ferozpur, Chishtian, and allegedly injured him over a water dispute. In another incident, two accused including Muhammad Ameen entered the house of Khan Muhammad at Chak 43/EB and allegedly injured him with the help of clubs. Police have registered cases.
