KOHAT: The police claimed to have seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition and arrested three alleged gunrunners in the limits of Jarma Police Station on Saturday.
Speaking at a press conference, District Police Officer Sohail Khalid said that a police party, headed by Station House Officer Rasool Rahman, was checking vehicles at Muslimabad check-post on Indus Highway after receiving intelligence information about smuggling of weapons.
He said that a car (Sindh-AUJ 451) coming from Darra Adamkhel was signaled to stop for checking.
The official added that upon thorough checking, the police recovered five Kalashnikovs, 21 pistols, 70 magazines and others.
