MULTAN: Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar has said that the parties in the PDM are not sincere with each other and claimed that there is no threat to the government from opposition.
Talking to journalists at Multan Circuit House after laying foundation stone of 72 projects of Punjab Aab Pak Authority and rehabilitation of 11 filtration plants in collaboration with welfare organizations, the Punjab governor said that the opposition demanded elections, but when the government invited them to negotiate electoral reforms, they run away.
Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar said that the promises made by the PTI government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan to provide rights to the people of South Punjab would be fully implemented and all matters pertaining to South Punjab Secretariat were regulated. The provincial cabinet would give its approval in the next few days and after that a formal notification would be issued for the South Punjab Secretariat, he informed.
He said that the work on the Punjab Aab Pak Authority projects was underway and the work on 1,500 schemes of the project would be completed by December next. He said that 3,000 clean water schemes were being launched in the province. He said that clean water would be provided to 10.5 million citizens by December.
He said that there was no veracity regarding setting up of a secretariat in the Islamia University Bahawalpur and he would talk with the Punjab government to avoid setting up a secretariat at the university. Later, the delegations of LPG Association and lawyers also met Ch Muhammad Sarwar.
