Ghani Chemicals to expand plant
ISLAMABAD: Federal Industries Minister Khusro Bakhtyar on Thursday met Ghani Chemicals CEO/Executive Director Atique Ahmad Khan, who briefed about the firm’s latest investment to generate additional 275 MT/day of medical and industrial gases in the Hattar Economic Zone, Haripur.
Ghani Chemicals is the largest producer of medical and industrial gases mainly oxygen, nitrogen, and argon in the country. Khan informed that construction would be completed in this financial year. He highlighted that this additional plant would not only fulfil the oxygen requirement of the country, but also would be able to supply oxygen in the region in case of a Covid-19 emergency.
Bakhtyar appreciated and acknowledged the efforts of Ghani Chemicals for increasing production in these challenging times. He noted that as the world braces for an overwhelming number of coronavirus cases, the government had taken some drastic measures to contain the spread of the virus through effective anti-corona strategy.
