TAKHTBHAI: Provincial chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Senator Maulana Attaur Rahman on Sunday said that establishing friendly ties with all the neighbouring countries was the need of the hour.

“Pakistan defamed and left isolated owing to the flawed economic, internal and foreign policies of the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government,” he said this during his visit to Darul Uloom, Shergarh on Sunday.

JUI district chief Maulana Muhammad Qasim, Maulana Amanat Shah Haqqani, Maulana Qaiseruddin, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and others also addressed on the occasion.

Maulana Attaur Rahman said that the government was repeating the same mistake by handing over bases to the US, which will push the country into many crises.

He said that criticising the government was the constitutional and legal right of everyone, adding that they would raise their voice for the provision of justice to the sons of late Usman Kakar at every forum.

The senator said that the rulers had made life hell for people due to the skyrocketing price hike of essential commodities.

“Federal Defence Minister Pervez Khattak cannot see the poor as he lives in air-conditioned rooms of spacious villas and travels in air-conditioned vehicles,” he said, adding that hike in prices of food items and inflation were the country’s real issues but the incapable rulers cannot tackle them properly.

He said that the poor and youths were committing suicide due to price-hike and joblessness.

The JUI leader said that all arrangements for the upcoming public meeting were finalised, which was giving sleepless nights to the rulers.

He called upon the party office-bearers and workers to expedite the campaign for the successful public power show to be held on July 4 in Malakand division.

He said that the Pakistan Democratic Movement was fighting for the rights of 220 million people.
