BARA: The tribal elders here on Sunday asked the authorities concerned to stick to the old load management plan for domestic electricity consumers.
Speaking at a press conference here, Munsif Afridi, Abdul Ghani, Saeedullah Afridi and others said the load management plan had been changed, which was causing severe problems to the people.
They complained that power supply now remained suspended to Bara for eight hours instead of six hours.
The elders asked the government to ensure power supply to Bara and revert to the previous load management plan as it was convenient for the local people.
The new load management plan, they said, had caused difficulties to the local people in Mushtarika Elaqa Akakhel, Shalobar Achini and Barqambarkhel areas.
The speakers complained that several illegal steel mills and factories had been established in Karigar Garhi, Kalanga, Alamgudar, Malik Garhi, and other areas.
The influential people have established dozens of steel mills and factories in residential areas, which emitted poisonous smoke, they complained, asking the authorities to take action against them.
