Heirs to LGH’s late employees given Rs16.8m
LAHORE : The Punjab government has released Rs16.8 million for the heirs to nine employees of Lahore General Hospital/Postgraduate Medical Institute who died during their service.
The financial assistance has also been distributed among the families of the deceased in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations. Speaking on the occasion of distributing relief cheques among the families of the deceased employees here on Saturday, Ameer Uddin Medical College and PGMI Principal Prof Dr Sardar Muhammad Al-freed Zafar said that reasonable financial assistance was provided to the families of the deceased so that they could live a dignified life while the bereaved families were also given other benefits according to the law. He said the administration of PGMI/LGH had taken minimum time in preparing the documents of the nine employees and had tried to provide their rights to their families as soon as possible. Prof Al-freed expressed satisfaction that the doctors, nurses and paramedics of LGH fully took care of the essence of their sacred medical profession.
