Anti-drug campaign launched in Mardan
TAKHT BHAI: Police have launched a campaign against drugs across Mardan district, focussing on educational institutions and public places to discourage the abuse of drugs, particularly ice.
On the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Zahidullah Khan, ASP Osama Cheema and other officers organised a seminar at Quaid-e-Azam School and College in the city. The speakers on the occasion, highlighted the ill effects of drugs on human health and the negative consequences on social life.
The students and teachers were asked to prevent the abuse of drugs in their institution.
Also, the police held another anti-drugs event at Government Degree College, Katlang. The students, parents and teachers attended the event. The parents and teachers on the occasion were asked to keep on the activities of students and save them from the menace of drugs
