MANSEHRA: Wildlife Department has levied entry fee on tourists and vehicles at the Sailful Muluk National Park in Kaghan valley.

“We have fixed the fee for every tourist and the revenue earned through it would be spent on the development of Saiful Muluk national park,” stated Abdul Basit Khan, the Wildlife Department’s range officer in Kaghan valley, told reporters on Sunday.

He said that chief conservator Wildlife Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mohsin Ali Shah had approved the entry fee, which was imposed under section-29 of Wildlife Act 2015.

The official said that children up to five years of age were exempted from the entry fee.

An adolescent would pay Rs10 and other men and women Rs20 each before entering the Saiful Muluk national park. He said that a parking fee of Rs100 would be received from each motorist.

“The revenue, generated through the entry and parking fees, would be spent to keep this national park free of pollution and ensure other facilities,” he said.
