LAHORE:The Institution of Engineers of Pakistan (IEP) has demanded the government announce a technical allowance for engineers of federal institutions or else they will be forced to go on nationwide protests and strikes from July 1.
Addressing a press conference, President IEP Javeed Younas Upal and secretary general Amir Zameer Khan said that the technical allowance for engineers was not announced in the budget. This is a gross discrimination and exploitation of engineers.
They said the provinces had implemented the technical allowance for the engineers but it was not implemented in the federal agencies. They demanded the government announce it in the supplementary budget for the federal agencies.
