LAHORE: A Judicial Magistrate on Friday granted one day physical remand of TikToker Kashif Zameer, an accused of luring Turkish actor Engin Altan Duzyatan into visiting Pakistan. The police have also accused Kashif of keeping and displaying illegal weapons.
The accused was produced by Nishtar Town police in the court of Noshaba Yousaf. The police sought 10-day physical remand of the accused to carry out investigation but the court granted one day physical custody of the accused. The police had arrested Kashif on the complaint of Engin, who rose to global fame for his role as Ertugrul in hit TV series ‘Dirilis:Ertugrul’. Turkish Embassy in Pakistan had sent a complaint letter to the Punjab Home Department after which a case was registered against Zameer on the directives of IG Police. According to the FIR, Kashmir Zameer invited Engin Altan to visit Pakistan for the shooting of Chaudhry Group brand. The accused failed to pay the actor and cancelled the agreement when Engin's team demanded the money.
