OIC body, PHEC sign MoU on higher education institutions
LAHORE:The Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) and the Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH) of the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to extend cooperation and provide science and technology-embedded solutions to higher education institutions of the province.
The scope of the MoU includes multilateral and meaningful cooperation between the two organisations for building indigenous science and technology resources as well as strengthening higher education institutions through development of science and technology supported indigenous solutions.
The cooperation also includes organising joint training programmes, scholarly workshops, research fellowships, exchange programmes for the faculty members and students of higher education institutions of Punjab.
In this regard, the COMSTECH will provide technical support to PHEC in terms of science and technology and education for indigenous solutions. In reciprocation, the PHEC will facilitate COMSTECH to connect with the provincial universities and implementation of joints programmes. The MoU signing ceremony was held here on Friday. It was attended by PHEC Chairman Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid and COMSTECH Coordinator General Prof Dr M Iqbal Choudhary at Islamabad.
PU, CWSA sign MoU to end inequalities: Punjab University and Community World Service Asia (CWSA) have signed an MoU to facilitate collaborative initiatives for provision of skill and well-informed individuals to the social sector to eliminate inequalities. Both the institutions would work for planning, learning, development and expansion which include capacity enhancement, training, curriculum revision/development, institutional development, academic information sharing and knowledge exchange.
The agreement was signed at PU Vice Chancellor’s office in which PU VC Prof Niaz Ahmed, Head of External Affairs CWSA Brig (retd) Tariq Aslam, Chairperson Department of Social Work Prof Dr Syeda Mahnaz Hassan, Director External Linkages Dr Sobia Khuram and others participated.
Forms submission date extended: Punjab University (PU) Department of Examinations has extended last date of online submission of admission forms and fee for the LLB (5 years) Part-I, II, III, IV & V annual examination 2021 and LLB (3 years) Part-I, II & III annual examination 2021. The last date for receipt of online admission forms and fee of the exams for regular and late college candidates is June 30, 2021 with single fee. Details are available at PU website www.pu.edu.pk.
