ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau Rawalpindi on Thursday handed over more than Rs 80.14 million to the representatives of the Sindh government, the Summit Bank and the Sindh Bank at a ceremony held at the NAB Rawalpindi.
Director General NAB Rawalpindi Irfan Naeem Mangi handed over Rs 4.95 million to the Sindh government, which were misappropriated in the fixation of solar lights under the Roshan Sindh Programme. A sum of Rs 37.5 million was handed over to the Summit Bank representative.
The Omni Group had fraudulently got a loan from the Summit Bank through a Benamidar Company namely Park View Stock and Capital Private Limited.
Likewise, the recovered amount of Rs 37.5 million was handed over to the Sindh Bank, which had been borrowed by Hussain Lawai as a Benami loan in connivance with the employees of the Sindh Bank.
