Couple shot dead for ‘honour’ in DI Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A couple was shot dead for honour after appearing in a court in Bhittani Abad on the Dera-Tank road in the limits of Sadder Police Station on Thursday.
The police said that 22-year old Jamil Ahmad, a resident of Hissam village, along with his wife was going home on a bike after appearing in court in a case pertaining to solemnising marriage against the will of (S Bibi) family.
They said that a car chasing the couple first hit their motorcycle at Bhittani Abad on the Dera-Tank road and then the occupants of the car equipped with arms opened fire on them. As a result, the two were killed on the spot. The accused were identified as Allah Nawaz, Shah Nawaz, Iqbal and Arif, who are said to be close relatives of the woman.
