LAHORE: PML-N Punjab spokesperson Azma Bukhari has said that the main character of the sugar scam was Jahangir Tareen but FIA notices were served on Shehbaz Sharif.
Responding to Firdous Ashiq's press conference here on Wednesday, Azma said the day before budget, the FIA said: ‘There was no need to arrest Jahangir Tareen.” “Shehbaz has nothing to do with sugar mills but the FIA is threatening to arrest him,” Azma said, adding, Jahangir Tareen was getting NRO to remain silent during the budget while Shehbaz got notices for opposing the budget.
“Flattering maid Asad Qaiser is no longer eligible to hold the post of Speaker for giving a free hand to government ministers. “In the history of Pakistan, such a helpless and weak Speaker has hardly ever been found in Parliament,” she said.
She further said that government ministers played a key role in making the state's first pillar a wrestling ring. During the speech of the Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif, the government ministers themselves made a ground for creating fuss, she maintained.
Shehbaz Sharif's briefing to the nation about reality of the budget was interrupted by the ministers, Azma said, concluding that it was unfortunate for Pakistanis that incompetent rulers were imposed on the nation.
