CM’s aide hints at 25pc pay raise for govt employees
TIMERGARA: Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Prisons Malik Shafiullah Khan said on Monday that Chief Minister Mahmood Khan had already announced 25 percent increase in salaries of government employees in addition to the 10 percent the increase announced by the federal government.
Talking to this scribe here, he said they were aware of the difficulties faced by the employees and that was why the government had decided to increase salaries by 25 percent and the announcement was likely to be made in the provincial budget.
Shafiullah termed the federal budget as people-friendly, claiming that no new tax was imposed on the public. “The opposition parties are criticising the federal budget just for the sake of opposition though all segments of society are appreciating it,” he said.
He believed that the country had been put on track to development and prosperity which had stunned the opposition, adding the people would hear more good news in the provincial budget.
