Four FC troops martyred in Quetta blast
QUETTA: Four Frontier Corps (FC) personnel, including a Junior Commissioned Officer, were martyred when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded at the Marget-Quetta road, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Monday.
“Terrorists targeted the Frontier Corps troops, employed for the security of the Marget Mines on the Marget-Quetta road using improvised explosive device,” read the ISPR statement. A large scale operation in the area was under way to hunt the terrorists responsible for the attack, it added.
“Such cowardly acts by inimical elements cannot sabotage hard-earned peace and prosperity in Balochistan,” the ISPR said, adding: “Security forces are determined to neutralise their nefarious designs even at the cost of blood and lives.”—News Desk
