Arif Rasheed Memorial, Summer cups among six races at LRC

LAHORE: The first summer meeting of the Lahore Race Club has six races with two featured cups here on Sunday (today).

There are four Fair Magic Plates and a Summer Cup and Sardar Arif Rasheed Memorial Cup. Apart from the last two, all the races are of a mile run while race five and six are of 1100 metres distance.

Summer Cup has 11 entries but eyes for win are on Salam-e-Muhabat. The favourite for Sardar Arif Rasheed Memorial Cup is Al Khalid from among six participants.

The opening Fair Magic Plate which is of class VII and division-IV has eight participants. Here the favourite is Finisher and places may be taken by Codes Cracker and Buzkushi. The others in the lineup are Khabib, Wahab Choice, Bright Gold, Master Prince and Safdar Princess.

The second race is of class VII and division-V. In the line-up of a dozen, Red Boy is the favourite. The places may be taken by Smiling Again and Zaman Sahib. The others in the line-up are Faizi Choice, Hassan Da Piyar, Jonti Road, Lucky Time, Chan Punjabi, Chhota Dera, Red Juniper, Anmole One and Bano.

The Summer Cup is the third race of the day. This class VI and division-V is a Maiden run of 11 which are Salam-e-Muhabbat, Frulati Queen, Easy Go, Statu of Liberty, Sadia Aizal, Prince of Baghban, Piyari Guriya, La Ilam, Asad Choice, Babar The Great and Mehrban. In this race, the favourite is Salam-e-Muhabbat.

The fourth race of the day has seven competitors. In this class VII and division-III race, Champion of Mind is the favourite. The places may be taken by Qamar Choice and Chan Pari. The lineup also has Prince of Arab, Silken Black, Jee Aya Nu and Stella.

The fifth race of the day is the Sardar Arif Rasheed Memorial Cup. This class-VII and division-I race has Al Khalid as the favourite with places likely to go to Believe Me and Hassan's Heights. The field is completed by Salam-e-Dera, Khadim and Welldone Pakistan.

The final race of the day is of class VII and division-II. With lmran Princess being the favourite, the place may be won by Amazing Runner and Hash Tag. The others are Last One, Ask Me, Gondal Prince and Follow My Lady.
