Says PML-N formulated the plan and party is proud of this achievement

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Sunday said parliament was already supervising the National Action Plan (NAP) adding that propaganda against the PML-N over the Model Town tragedy was unfair, as responsibility for the massacre was yet to be fixed.

Responding to the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s criticism of the NAP, Pervaiz said the Plan was already being supervised by parliament.“Why wasn’t NAP set up under former presidents Asif Ali Zardari and Pervez Musharraf? It was the PML-N that formulated it and the party is proud of this achievement”, said Rashid.

He said the NAP had an in-built mechanism, according to which parliament supervises it. He said Bilawal only bemoaned his own problems. He said Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah had personally admitted that 80 percent of achievements had been earned due to the NAP.

Talking about the Model Town tragedy, the minister said it was yet to be decided who was responsible for the massacre. He said baseless propaganda against the PML-N in this regard was unwarranted.Eh said any Islamic State (IS) member in Islamabad would not be able to survive the law of the country.
