Free COVID-19 vaccination drive
KARACHI: Meezan Bank has launched a free COVID-19 vaccination drive for its employees and their family members in collaboration with the Sindh government, a statement said on Friday.
The vaccination camp kicked off at the bank’s head office in Karachi under the leadership of Irfan Siddiqui, founding president and CEO of Meezan Bank, along with the senior management team, it added.
The drive was personally overseen by Commissioner Karachi Navid Ahmed Shaikh along with his team.
As the bank rolls-out its support for COVID-19 vaccine adoption to return to normalcy, it is partnering with relevant authorities to conduct the vaccination drive smoothly and increase the administration of vaccines for its staff across the country, starting from Karachi, the statement said.
The bank will continue to cover over 12,000 employees, including all permanent, contractual, and third-party staff, as well as their family members, it added.
