The meeting held by PHF president Khalid Khokhar and secretary Shahbaz Ahmed with the businessmen on Thursday proved fruitful as the latter assured the former of support for arrangements of the national championship, scheduled to be held in Karachi from December 26.
The PHF top officials called on the KATI chairman Rashid Ahmed Siddiqui and it was decided in the meeting that KATI would provide financial support to PHF.
KATI assured that it would provide financial help to PHF for hockey activities in other parts of the country as well.
The PHF did not ask any specific amount, however.

On that occasion PHF officials Olympians Kamran Ashraf and Qamar Ibrahim would brief the industrialists about the arrangements of the championship, the sources said.
They added KATI was expected to provide handsome prize money for the championship.
