Women cricketers training camp begins today
KARACHI: A high-performance training camp, organised by the PCB women’s wing, starts from Friday (today) at the Lahore Country Club, Muridke.
The PCB has called 25 players to attend the camp.
The objective of the camp is to ensure focused and specialised performance enhancement in the areas of batting, bowling and fielding.
Players: Javeria Wadood, Ayesha Zafar, Nain Fatima Abidi, Sidra Amin, Muneeba Ali Siddiqui, Sidra Nawaz, Rabiya Shah, Nahida Bibi, Omaima Sohail, Marina Iqbal, Bismah Maroof, Sana Mir, Aiman Anwer, Nida Dar, Aliya Riaz, Iram Javed, Anum Amin, Sadia Yousaf, Almas Akram, Rameen Shamim, Maham Tariq, Diana Baig, Kainat Imtiaz, Asmavia Iqbal, Sania Iqbal. —PPI
Ghulam, Arish spin Bilal Friends CC to victory
KARACHI: Spinners Ghulam Hussain and Arish Ali Khan shared seven wickets to help Bilal Friends Cricket Club record a convincing 73-run triumph over Shalimar Cricket Club in the opening match of the All-Karachi Shareef Khan Memorial Cricket Tournament here at Quaid-e-Azam Park Cricket Stadium in Steel Town.
Bilal Friends CC were all out for 213 in 30 overs. Taimoor Ali scored 66 off 47 balls. Waseem Ahmed made 38 off 27 balls. Muhammad Irfan and Muhammad Aqib took three wickets each.
Shalimar CC got out at 140 in 29.2 overs. Irfan was the top scorer with 29 runs. Ghulam Hussain captured four wickets, while Arish took three wickets.
