Seminar for boxing referees, judges, coaches held
LAHORE: A seminar for boxing referees, judges and coaches was conducted here with an aim to enhance the knowledge and skill level of local officials in conducting national as well as international events.
Arshad Jawaid Qurrashi (a two-star referee/judge) and Zaigham Maseel (Olympian, coach and a two-star referee/judge) delivered lectures. A large number of coaches, referees and judges from District-Nankana Sahib, Kasur, Shekhupura and Lahore attended the seminar.
Punjab Boxing Association’s Secretary General Sharjil Zia Butt, chairman Sultan Mehmood and Finance Secretary Tariq Gujjar were present on the occasion. Sharjil announced that the association has planned to organise more seminars and courses in the province in coming days for improving the ability of officials.
