‘He for she’

Heforshe is a campaign headed by the UN to promote a ‘solidarity movement for gender equality’. It has gathered many supporters and activists. Each culture has chosen to interpret this campaign in its own way. There are some whose fight is confined to limited professional opportunities while others interpret it in terms of codes of dressing and ethics. Pakistanis must accept this changing trend on their own terms in view of society norms and values. We should strive to provide both genders with equal rights and opportunities.

Heforshe was started with the intent of ending wrongful discrimination. Men and women are meant to work hand in hand, each fulfilling the other’s shortcomings. The campaign began for a greater good, a step on the path for a just world. Let’s take this responsibility seriously.
