Chrysanthemum and Birds Show opens at Rose & Jasmine Garden

The 33rd Annual Chrysanthemum Flowers and Birds Show -- 2015 opened at Rose and Jasmine Garden. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in collaboration with Islamabad Horticultural Society (IHS) and Pakistan Horticulture Society organized the three day show.
CDA Member Environment Syed Mustafain Kazmi, president Islamabad Horticulture Society, Mansoor Ali Khan, officers of the Environment Wing CDA, representatives of Islamabad Horticulture Society and participants of the exhibition were present during the inaugural ceremony of the show.
Speaking on the occasion, Member Environment, Syed Mustfain Kazmi said that flowers are the part and parcel of our life as they add beauty and fragrance to our gardens, our homes as well our lives. He said that apart from beautification, flowers and roses are great source of recreation and entertainment for the residents and such exhibitions encourage people for plantation of flowers at their homes. He further said that this flowers and birds show would help promoting the soft image of our country in the world as many foreign diplomats would also visit this exhibition.
Chrysanthemum Flowers and Birds Show would continue for three days and prizes would be distributed among the winners. Many government, semi-government and private organisations and individuals are participating in the flowers and birds show.
The organisations participating in this show are Capital Development Authority, Islamabad Club, Pakistan Air Force Hospital, Allama Iqbal Open University, and Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission and others.
Multiple varieties of chrysanthemum flowers particularly intermediate, incurred, reflex, sprays, anemone, pompons, Korean hybrid, and spidery flowers were displayed in mound, stall and rainbow orders at the show.
