Karachi, Multan enter Disabled T20 cricket final

KARACHI: Karachi will clash with Multan for top honours in ICRC National Disabled T20 cricket championship on Saturday (today) here at National Stadium.
Hosts Karachi recorded a convincing eight-wicket win against Islamabad in the first semi-final on Friday at National Stadium.
Islamabad put on board 142-8. Sher Ali was the top scorer with 33 runs. Junaid Khan scored 27. Off spinner Muhammad Kalam captured three wickets for only 18 runs.
Karachi easily reached the target with eight wickets in hand in 18.4 overs.
Captain Arif Richard and Waheed Khan batted brilliantly. Arif scored 56 off 51 balls with the help of six boundaries, while Waheed played an unbeaten 55-run knock off 50 balls with the help of six fours.
In the second semi-final, Multan thrashed Hyderabad by nine wickets here at the same venue.
Hyderabad were bowled out for 87 runs in 18.4 overs. Babar Ali (24 runs) was the top scorer for the side. Off spinner Majid Hussain grabbed four wickets for only 15. Left-arm medium pacer Muhammad Haris captured three wickets for 11.
Multan reached the target for the loss of only one wicket. Jahanzaib Tiwana scored unbeaten 46 off only 23 balls, hitting ten boundaries. Skipper Matloob Qureshi contributed unbeaten 21 off 20 balls.
