Aid scrutiny

It is indeed a praiseworthy step from the District Administration office in Chitral to scrutinise the earthquake-affectees who will receive aid packages in the second phase of distribution. Through this process, fraudulent applicants will be set aside to make room for those who truly need help. Furthermore, this will ensure just distribution and set an example for good governance.
However, what will become of the applicants who have already received aid packages in the first phase? They need to be put through the verification process too; village counsellors, in connivance with surveyors, included potential voters and favourites in the lists regardless of whether they were in need of the aid or not.
