Fleeing prisoner held in Bisham

ABBOTTABAD: A prisoner who had escaped from a hospital in Mansehra was arrested in Bisham, official sources said on Sunday.
“The accused had managed to escape from the King Abdullah Hospital in Mansehra early in the day. However, the Bisham police arrested him. A taxi car and its driver had also been arrested,” said the official.
Earlier, the residents of Sheikh Albandi staged protest over the escape of prisoner.Led by Jawad Khan, the residents blocked the Murree road for traffic for some time. They chanted slogans against the police and hospital administration for their negligence.
Speaking on the occasion, Noman Khan, Farukh Khan and Jawad Khan said the accused Niamatullah, an Afghan national, was involved in the murder of Akmal. They said that the police shifted the accused to the King Abdullah Hospital in Mansehra where he managed to escape from the police custody.
The protesters reopened the road after Mushtaq Ghani, special assistant to chief minister, and Tehsil Naib Nazim Sardar Shuja held talks with the Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Malik Ejaz Goga.
